Spending a lot of time on the road visiting our customers and suppliers, I am often amazed at some of the things I run across.
While returning from a day seeing customers in the San Francisco Bay area, I came upon this flatbed semi hauling what I first thought was a gigantic rock. But as I got closer, I realized the load was not a rock but the world’s largest (artificial) potato!
Since 2012, a group in Idaho has been promoting their state’s Famous Potatoes by putting this rolling exhibit on the road and touring the country. Proving that business (and marketing) does not have to be boring, they have turned an excellent promotional idea into a fun endeavor that brings laughter and smiles wherever it appears. Seems to me that we all need to spend more time following their example.
