Pressurized paint pots are used to dispense paint during manufacturing processes. The head pressure above the paint is controlled, resulting in a steady flow of paint to a spray gun. Here is a small commercially available paint pot:

The paint stream is combined with an air stream to create the spray. Many systems have a pressure controller already installed on the pot, but in this case, the pot is located inside a spray booth used in manufacturing, and they cannot bring non-explosion-proof electrified equipment near the spray paint.

This device has a remote sense port for optimal pressure control located far away from the paint pot. This minimizes the pressure drop between the Alicat and the controlled volume.

APPLICATION NOTES
This pressure controller will regulate the head pressure of air in a paint pot while the paint is flowing out of it. The device will be located ~15 feet away from the pot, so a remote sense port will be plumbed to it.
